Black Cat, Black Cat: Coraline

I bought the first issue of Neil Gaiman’s Sandman at Franklin Farm Books in November of 1988. And every issue after that, until the series concluded eight years later. Gaiman’s career has gone well. I didn’t get to talk to him as I’d hoped I would for this short Washington Post Express feature on the new 3-D film version of his 2002 book Coraline, but I did get to talk to screenwriter/director Henry Selick, who also made The Nightmare Before Christmas. So that was cool. Here you go.
